VIRGIN FOUND IN CENTRAL TENNESSEE
By Bill Walker

Recently, Sean Roberts and I went ridgewalking in Tennessee. We found this beauty in a large sink. When we saw it, we ran down the slopes poking in every hole. I started on the right and Sean started on the left. I found a few that didn't go and worked my way to the other end of the sink. Sean said, "What about that one, did you check it?"

"Oh, there's nothing there, dude" I said. Sean went over to the hole, looked down and said, "You better check this one again. This hole is blowing." We moved a few rocks, Sean dropped down into the rocks, and yelled back, "Bill, we've got borehole down here - give me five minutes!" I felt pretty stupid.

After he came back we ran to the truck to get the gear. We only had an hour because nightfall was setting in and we were in the middle of nowhere. The cave turned out to be totally virgin. No sign of previous visitors anywhere. The rocks were pristine. There were no prints in the mud. Totally virgin. Big, too. Strolling borehole. Fast moving stream. We didn't get to see the whole cave because we had to leave as soon as we got in. Needless to say, we will be coming back soon to see the rest of the cave.

Check out the pics below. The pictures are just for reference. We didn't have any extra flashes and we had little time to set anything up, but you get the idea. Also, check out the shot of the entrance by clicking the thumbnail below.
