2002 was an amazing year for cave discovery in Florida. The discovery of Werner Cave earlier in 2002 was prelude of things to come. The three pictures below are from the big breakthrough day in Brooksville Ridge when Eric Amsbury squeezed through a restriction in a tiny cave that TBAG had dug open a few weeks before.

Here are a bunch of additional photos from the cave taken over the course of the last few months. The cave is one of the most heavily decorated caves in Florida and it is also one of the most brutal. The first six photos show the intimacy of the cave and the toll it takes on those exploring it. The rest of the photos show the payoff for all that work.
