On Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, the FSS cleaned a sinkhole on a private residence near Manatee Springs. The sinkhole is actually a series of 13 solution pits
about 15 feet deep. The project was a great success - we did our part
for the environment, got to see a karst feature we didn't know about,
and the landowner even made us lunch! I'd like to thank everyone that
participated - especially those in TBAG that drove all that way to
help out (you too Woody.)
