CAVE SURVEY CLASS

The Florida Cave Survey and Mapping Workshop, organized by Sarah Cervone, was held the weekend of March 19th, 2004. Lee Florea, of the University of South Florida's Karst Research Group, taught the class. Participants included local cavers, geography students, and wildlife managers. Friday the 19th was a pre-workshop social and also included guest speakers. Saturday's class included field training and in-cave mapping at Bat Cave. Sunday's class introduced data processing and computer mapping at the University of Florida.

Proceedes from the class were donated to The Karst Conservancy.
